Referral Program - Cedar Park & Leander Family Photographer

I have something new and exciting to share with all of my past clients. For 2010, I am launching a new referral program. Now, if you refer a friend to Dorean Pope Photography and they mention you when booking a full session, you will receive a $25.00 credit toward your next session*. It's as easy as that! So, be sure to tell your friends about us and ask them to mention your name when they book their session.

I can't wait to start rewarding all of my friends and clients for the wonderful things they say about me to their friends!

Stay tuned for more exciting changes to come soon. And because every post is better with a picture, here are a few recent shots I took of my little Aubrey. She is a busy girl, already crawling and pulling up at 8 months old! She's keeping mommy on her toes.

*The referal must be for a brand new client and will apply only for the first session they book with me.

Sweet Baby Girl - Austin Infant Photographer

I absolutely love newborn sessions. It is so fun to capture babies while they are teeny, tiny. As a mom myself, I know that I don't want to forget what my babies feet looked like when they were so little. That is something I try to capture for every mother. I took so many pictures of this sweet girls toes. It cracked me up when I started going through my shots from this session. This one ended up being my favorite. So precious.

Because this sweetie was already a month old, she was awake for the majority of our session. This changes the feel of the shots a little, but we were still able to get some great images and capture her personality as it starts to emerge.

2009 Top 10 & Giveaway - Austin Child & Family Photographer

Since the weather has been mostly cold lately (except for the gorgeous weather we had yesterday!) and I haven't been getting outside to shoot many sessions, I have been focusing more on office work when I get a chance. I am looking back at my work from 2009 and reflecting on the year. It was a great year for me both personally, with the addition of Aubrey to our family, as well as professionally. Even though I was pregnant and on maternity leave for a good part of the year, my business grew significantly. I owe that in large part to YOU my wonderful friends and clients.

The majority of my business comes from word of mouth and referrals. I really appreciate all of you and the wonderful things you say to your friends about me. :)

To show a little appreciation, I have decided to do a little giveaway. While going through my favorite images from last year I picked out a few (I could only narrow it down to 10) of my very, very favorites. Most of these images I like because they speak to me on an emotional level or they have captured something that I think will speak to my client on an emotional level. I absolutely LOVE it when that happens... it is always my goal.

Okay, so here are the details:

The winner will receive one 11X14 standout mounted print as seen here, courtesy of Dorean Pope Photography.

I am going to let YOU my blog readers and facebook fans choose the winner. You can cast your vote in several ways. You can leave a comment on the blog or on facebook with the number/name associated with the picture that you would like to vote for. Or you can vote in the poll on my blog. Each person can vote once in all three places, but please limit it to that; however, if your picture was chosen feel free to shamelessly get all of your friends and family to vote for you. :) Voting will end next Wednesday 1/20 and the winner will be announced on Thursday.

I think that pretty much sums it up so without further ado...

Here are my top 10 from 2009 (in no particular order):

1. Susan

2. Dawn

3. Hannah

4. Rebecca

5. Jami

6. Melissa

7. Carissa

8. Elizabeth

9. Amanda

10. Crystal

Happy Voting! I can't wait to see who you pick!!

Starting the year off right *Part 2* - Austin Portrait Photographer

In addition to the professional portraits that I took for my sweet friend, I also took some individual portraits of her and her sister. Even though it was FREEZING COLD, they were great models and we had a lot of fun. The difference in their portraits portrays the difference in their personalities pretty well, I think. The first one is my new favorite! She is fierce!! :)

Starting the year off right - Austin Portrait Photographer

During this holiday season one of my very dear, long time friends was in town. I'm talking, she was in my wedding and makes scrap books of all of my children's photos WONDERFUL friend. When she asked me if I could do a session for her and her sister I was really excited at the prospect.

This friend of mine, along with her husband, is a professional musician. They needed some new headshots for an upcoming event so we pulled out their instruments for a couple of the shots. Much fun.

Love you guys!! More from our session to come soon.

New Chapter - Austin Family Photographer

This session was a first for me. For this family, this session took place on their very last day in Austin. They were moving out of town on the SAME DAY that we had our session. Despite what I'm sure was a very long day and some pretty cold weather, these kiddos did GREAT! They were really sweet girls. I hope you guys enjoy this little keepsake from your last day in Austin and that your new home brings you lots of joy and wonderful new memories!

I got some cute ones of her smiling too, but I loved this serious shot. Those beautiful baby features (read: cheeks) that are going to be transformed from baby into little girl in the next couple of months. :)
