Little Miss Sunshine...

...at the pool yesterday wearing her new shades. Too cute!

They stay on her face for about two seconds before she has them off and in her mouth.

Adalyn's New Toy

Adalyn got a new toy. Over the next year I'm sure we will spend hours in the back yard playing with her new swing. I can't wait!

Holy Cow!

That's right. Those are the words that came out of my mouth when I saw what is pictured below in the middle of the road while driving home from the grocery store. I paused for a second and then burst into laughter as I realized the irony of my statement.

(I guess technically it is a bull, not a cow but still very funny.)

Finger Painting

The other day I set Adalyn up for a little finger painting fun in her highchair. With a little bit of peas and a little bit of carrots she had a great time. Below is the end result.

Paisley

I recently had the pleasure of shooting a portrait session for our great friends Alan and Melissa. Their pride and joy turned 1 in February and we were overdue for portraits to commemorate the occasion.

Below is a sneak peak of my session with Paisley Grace. She is just too cute! We had a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday to me!

Saturday was my 27th birthday! I had a great day hanging out with family and friends. It is crazy for me to look back on this year and see how much has changed in such a short time. At this time last year, I was just a couple months pregnant. I knew a lot of life change was coming, but I had no idea how wonderful it would be. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and daughter and for the amazing family and friends God has given me. I am truly blessed.

These are the beautiful flowers my best friend Emily gave me:

These are all the sweet cards I received:

These are my favorite cards. They were hand made by my little brother and sister:

Thank you everyone for such a wonderful day. I love you all!!

First Post!!

I have decided to give this blogging thing a try. I am excited to use this blog to share with friends, family, and strangers the things that I love. You will be seeing LOTS of pictures of the joy of my life - Adalyn Rose. And, well there will just be a lot of pictures in general since photography is a passion as well. When Adalyn made her grand entrance I was blessed enough to be able to leave my place of employment to stay at home with her. This gives me an opportunity to pursue something that has been a hobby for the past several years... photography. I really enjoy taking pictures of people and as a new mother I have discovered how important it is to capture each stage of development in any way that you can. I will be posting pictures on the blog soon, but in the mean time I have set up some galleries through Picasa for anyone who is interested. The web address is: http://picasaweb.google.com/dopope.

Thanks for stopping by!
