Live Oaks Galore - On Location Portrait Photographer

This past weekend we loaded up the girls and went to Houston for my husband's grandmother's 75th birthday party.  While in Houston I had the opportunity to do a session for some good friends of ours.  They are a fun, laid back family and I think you can see that in these portraits.

Jen is an amazing artist. (See examples here and here.) Everything she does exudes creativity and our session was no exception.  I love it when my clients have creative vision for our session - I really enjoy trying to capture their ideas and make them a reality.  You can see some of her creativity below.  I absolutely LOVED the location she picked for our session and wish that it was in Austin so I could shoot there all the time!!

Whew It Was Windy! - Austin Family & Child Portrait Photographer

Just a quick sneak peek for this great family - we did our session Friday morning as the wind started to blow in.  They were real troopers and I think it paid off!  Thanks so much for a fun session!  I hope you enjoy.

This little guy's mama made his tie.  SO CUTE!  She is really talented - check out her work here.

My fun new prop! :)

Mama love!

Cute As A Button - Austin Photographer

Hmmm... makes me want to be a pet photographer. This little guy is SO stinking cute!
Just a little back story for you. Here at the Pope house, have two little boy Chihuahuas in our family. We got them before we had kids and they were our children. One of them slept in the bed with me (I can't believe that now when I think about it), we took them places with us, put them on our Christmas card etc, etc... You get the picture. As you can imagine, their lives changed dramatically when we had kids. They still live a good life, but it is MUCH more a dog's life than a glorified pet treated as a child's life. =)
This post isn't really about our baby boys, it is about the CUTE little guy down below. He is the son of our little boy - Samson. (Note - We had no intention of breeding Samson and did not set out to do so.) You see, a couple of months ago, our niece came to visit and brought her Chihuahua, Desota, with her. Well, unknown to us Samson & Desota fell madly in love, got married, and decided to have babies. :) Just a few short weeks later - sweet little Patch entered the picture. And OH SO SWEET he is... I desperately want to keep him, but I know that we cannot!!!! But I really, really want to!! Since I can't, I will just take pictures of him so that I can remember how adorable he is.

Little Munchkins - Austin Child Portraits

Last week I went to one of my client's dance studios to take some promo shots for her spring marketing campaign. We had a little break in the middle and we used the time to grab these shots of her little girls. So cute!!
I am so inspired by this busy, hard working mom who juggles it all so well. She is sweet and gracious and just a joy to work with.I hope she enjoys these shots of her little munchkins.

Engaged!! - Austin & Bastrop Engagement Portraits

They are engaged!!
My baby brother and his soul mate are tying the knot later this year and I couldn't be happier for them.
Of course it wasn't always that way - I have to admit I was a little skeptical when my little brother met someone on myspace at 16 and started dating her. ;)
Over time though, I grew to absolutely LOVE this girl. She is warm and caring. She watches out for him and makes him a better man. Even though they are still young, I am delighted that they are going to promise to spend the rest of their lives together. I see that God brought them together and I can't wait to see how their life unfolds.
I love you guys!!

SUPER CUTE - but maybe I'm biased... Cedar Park & Leander Photographer

These are a few more favorites from the session with my girls. I can't believe Adalyn is getting SO old and I can't believe Aubrey is already so mobile at only 9 months. These girls keep me busy, but I LOVE every minute of it - more than words can express. I'm so blessed.

Happy Tuesday!
