Dorean Pope Photography - Merry Christmas to all! (Leander/Cedar Park Portrait Photographer)

I was disappointed because the day that I finally had time to take some Christmas portraits of my own, it was freezing cold outside (literally) and there was no way we were going to get outdoor portraits. As most of you know, I love doing sessions outside and taking advantage of natural light, but that was not to be for us this year. We did manage to get some fun portraits indoors that capture our little ones' personality pretty well. (Don't worry, the ornamental balls are plastic, not glass.)

I want to take a second to say THANK YOU to all of my clients over the past month. It has been great getting to know your families and being able to capture this time in your family's history in photographic form. THANK YOU also to my wonderful friends and family who have supported Dorean Pope Photography this year and have helped to get it going again. You are all wonderful and I love you very much!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy spending time with family.

Much love,

Dorean Pope

Dorean Pope Photography: Ah Christmas Time! (Austin Family Photographer)

I met my dear friends (and such a lovely family) in downtown Austin at the San Jose Hotel for a family portrait session. It is a very cool hotel with a definite "Austin" vibe. You may recognize Little Miss "P" from a previous appearance she made on this blog. This session was a little harder on her having survived a 5 hour delay for her flight home the previous day. She was a real trooper, all things considered!

Dorean Pope Photography: Busy Bees (Austin Child and Infant Photographer)

This house was full of busy bees and LOTS of energy! We put some of that energy to good use and got some fun photos of these siblings. This post is mostly in black and white in honor if their stair case wall which is full of black and white photos. Very cool.

*On a quick business note, time is running out to get portraits taken in time for your Christmas card; but I do have a couple of slots left this week just let me know soon!*

Family Fun - Austin Family and Child Photographer

This session almost didn't happen because it was cloudy, cold and rainy all morning. At what seemed like the last minute, the clouds disappeared and we were able to get some really fun photos down at the Arboretum. The first series of photos I just had to put into a collage. I think they mean a lot more as a group than individually. They show little miss A's feelings about the whole portrait session "thing" pretty well. So cute! I enjoyed the afternoon with you guys and I hope you enjoy these portraits!

Sweet New Baby - Leander Infant & Family Photographer

We made the best of some cold and dreary weather last weekend to get some pictures of this sweet baby girl and her momma and daddy. She did a great job and was actually awake for most of the session. Hope you guys enjoy these!

This is one of my all time favorite pictures!

Thanksgiving Fun - Liberty Hill Family & Child Photographer

Recognize these folks?? They are regulars around here, as they happen to be related to me. We had some fun on our Thanksgiving trip this year with a family portrait session. Okay, fun for me... maybe not so much fun for them, but they were troopers and I think it paid off!

Family Portraits in the park - Austin Family/Child Photographer

This wonderful family and I "suffered" through the recent cold snap early in the morning to get some fun family portraits at their neighborhood park. Brrr! I had to find the closest Starbucks on the ride home. Anyone who knows me knows that I much prefer summer heat to winter cold, even Texas winter cold. I would never make it in a snowy climate!

I had a great time with you guys and I hope you enjoy the pictures.
